Castillon du Gard
Castillon du Gard Castillon du Gard is a picturesque village perched on the edge of a limestone plateau, 5 km from Pont du Gard. Its historic center is classified as architectural heritage of France.

the Pont du Gard
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pont du Gard is part of an exceptional environment. It is a Roman aqueduct built on 3 levels, which spans the river Gardon at the bottom of a valley. The monument built in the 1st century AD was the most spectacular part of a 50 km canal that brought water from Uzès to the city of Nimes. It is one of the most visited French monuments with nearly 1.5 million tourists each year.
